When using a new tool for processing, there is holding shrinkage.

The processing is very laborious and not smooth. What parameters need to be adjusted at this time? We must first find out what is the reason for the labor. The main reason for the labor is that the power and speed of the spindle cannot withstand the current cutting volume. Therefore, a reasonable method is to redesign the machining path to reduce the depth of the knife. If you are not in a hurry to process, or the workpiece needs to be processed for a short time, you can also adjust the cutting speed to improve the cutting state.

What is the role of coolant, must it be used?

The role of the cooling system is to remove flying debris generated during the CNC carving machine process and play a role in the lubrication process. The coolant can eliminate part of the heat generated during the machining process, reduce the heat transferred to the tool and the motor, and extend the service life of the machine. In the processing of copper materials, the choice of coolant can improve the surface quality and make the CNC wood router processing more stable.

What is the cause of CNC machine tools wear?

The wear of the tool can generally be normal wear and sharp wear. In the initial processing stage, the main reason for tool wear is that the temperature of the tool is low, and the optimal cutting temperature is not reached. At this time, the wear of the tool is mainly sharp wear. This kind of wear has a very bad influence on the tool, and also has a great influence on the cutting process, and it is easy to destroy the tool. This stage is a very dangerous stage, if not handled properly, it may directly cause the CNC carving machine to break and malfunction. When the cutting tool has run-in for a certain period of time and the cutting temperature has reached a certain value, it is normal wear and tear. This is almost inevitable. We can only pay attention to maintenance in daily operations to extend the service life of the tool.

Why does the CNC machine tools have a certain running-in period? How to break in?

We mentioned above that the tool is easy to break during the initial processing damage stage. In order to avoid the phenomenon of tool breakage, the knife must be run in to make the cutting temperature of the knife gradually rise to a reasonable cutting temperature. A large number of experiments have shown that using the same processing parameters to operate, the service life of the knife after running-in has increased more than twice.

The specific running-in method is to reduce the feed speed by half while maintaining a reasonable spindle speed, and the time is about 5-10 minutes. When dealing with soft materials, usually use a smaller value; when dealing with hard metals, usually use a larger value.

How to judge whether the tool is worn and the degree of wear?

The method of judging the wear of a knife edge tool is: 1) Listen to the sound during CNC carving machine processing, if there is a harsh sound, it means wear; 2) Feel the vibration, shaking, and obvious vibration of the spindle during the processing, which means wear; 3) From processing In view of the effect, there are knife marks on the surface of the processed material, sometimes deep and sometimes shallow, which also means that the tool is worn.

When should I change the tool?

Each tool has its own service life, and we should change the CNC wood machine at about 2/3 of the tool life limit. For example, when the knife is severely worn within 60 minutes, you should start to change the knife in about 40 minutes and get into the habit of changing the knife regularly when you perform the next machining.

Can the severely worn blade continue to be processed?

Generally, we do not recommend to continue machining, because the cutting force of a severely worn knife can be increased to 3 times the normal value, which has a great impact on the service life of the CNC carving machine. Moreover, the processing effect will be affected, and the refined processing will not be achieved.

What if the tool suddenly breaks during processing?

1) Stop processing immediately and remove the current tool.

2) Check whether there are impurities scattered on the broken blade body, such as the processing table, and clean it in time.

3) Analyze the causes of tool fracture. What caused the knife to break? Is the pressure on the tool suddenly increasing? Or the path problem is incorrect? Or the tool jitter is too large and not fixed properly? Or the influence of processing materials? Or the speed of the spindle motor is not set properly? These problems need to be eliminated one by one and find the root

4) After analysis, replace the CNC machine tools for processing. It should be noted that the feed rate should be reduced after replacing the new tool, because the new tool has a certain running-in period.
